Greases
Grease runs hotter, for longer, with less oil than any other lubricant, and it cannot be filtered or topped up. That puts the whole burden on the additive system: solid antioxidants that will not volatilise, sulphur EP that works at the contact, and DMTD chemistry doing double duty as copper passivator and load carrier.
