European lubricant blending is a mature industry running on a narrow supply base. For the additive chemistries that decide whether a fluid passes or fails — the antiwear, the dispersant, the antioxidant pair — most independent blenders have exactly one qualified supplier and a purchase order history going back decades.
That is not a criticism. It is what happens when qualification is expensive and the incumbent performs. But it leaves the blender exposed to a single plant, a single logistics chain and a single commercial relationship, and the last several years have made the cost of that exposure concrete.
Nova Additives exists to be the alternative that has already been through the bench. We supply 44 component grades manufactured to consistent specification, held in stock in the ARA range, with the documentation a European formulator needs in order to run the trial in the first place.
We would rather be the grade you have qualified and do not need this quarter than the grade you are trying to qualify in the middle of a shortage.
We sell components, not packages.
We do not formulate finished additive packages and we do not compete with our customers for their OEM approvals. What we supply is the individual chemistry, at a known specification, so the formulator keeps control of their own recipe. That boundary is deliberate and we do not intend to cross it.
The specification is the product.
An additive is bought on numbers. Every consignment carries a certificate of analysis against the published specification, retained samples are held for the full shelf life, and batch-to-batch variation inside the range is reported rather than absorbed quietly.
Stock in Europe, not a quotation from elsewhere.
Material is held in the Rotterdam–Antwerp–Amsterdam range. A second source is only useful if it can respond faster than the problem that created the need for it, which means the drums have to already be on this continent.
Compliance is our cost to carry.
Substances are placed on the EU market under a documented REACH route with safety data sheets in the language of the receiving country. A customer buying from us should not inherit an importer's obligations by accident.

Our grades are manufactured to our specification at established specialty-chemical plants and released against our own quality requirements before they leave for Europe. We publish the specification and stand behind it; we do not ask a customer to trust a supply chain they cannot see the terms of.
