MO-525
Molybdenum dithiocarbamate (MoDTC), liquid
Liquid MoDTC — the friction modifier that fuel-economy engine oils are actually built on. Pre-diluted to 40 % oil for straightforward cold blending, which removes the handling problem that keeps blenders away from the solid grades.
- Molybdenum
- 9.5 – 10.5%
- Sulphur
- 7 – 14%
- Oil
- 40%
Typical values, not a specification. The binding specification is the one on the certificate of analysis issued against each batch.
Molybdenum Friction Modifiers
Friction reduction via in-situ MoS₂ tribofilm
Organomolybdenum compounds decompose under load to deposit molybdenum disulphide in the contact. The measurable result is a lower boundary friction coefficient and a direct fuel-economy credit — which is why these carry the highest value density of anything in this catalogue and why they matter regardless of powertrain.
A full technical data sheet, safety data sheet in the language of the receiving country, REACH status statement and SVHC declaration are issued with every enquiry for MO-525. Certificates of analysis accompany each consignment and retained samples are held for the full shelf life.
