Rust Preventives & Quenching
A rust preventive has one job and it is measured in a humidity cabinet. Neutral sulfonates displace water from the steel and hold a barrier film. Quench oils need oxidation stability under repeated thermal shock, which is an antioxidant problem more than anything else.
